One of our best Communion Services ever!
The energy in the house was amazing.
After service was over a lot of people hung around for a solid hour. I really like that.
Of course the good weather and sunshine outside (after a solid month of cloud cover) really helped with everyone’s mood.
M.H. said on Facebook, “The sun is shining. The birds are singing. Church was awesome. All is right in my world.”
Sunday’s seem like the high point of the week for almost everyone who attends PCC. They really have fun and enjoy themselves. It doesn’t seem to matter if the sermon was a dud, if we hit a home run that day, or if the content of the message was challenging – people love their church and take it all in.
Our youth group headed to
Renae and I had company over for lunch after church. Our house was full of people. Really had a good time. Lots of good food too. There’s something special about having people in your home after church on the Lord’s Day. It seems to “complete” things to me.
I bought a new camera this week. It’s a Nikon 5100. I’m really looking forward to taking outdoor photos this spring.
I spent some time this afternoon cutting up seed-potatoes and dipping them in powdered sulfur for planting. My father in-law got them for me and told me what to do. The man knows how to grow red potatoes.
A fine man came up to me this morning after church and told me that he planted tomato plants this week. My immediate reply was: “Remember your pastor when they come in.” He seemed to get a big kick out of that. I only hope I get some tomatoes out of that. :-)
Tomorrow I’m going to be spreading oak leaves on my garden. Tuesday or Wednesday after work I’m going to till the leaves in. On Friday I’m planting potatoes. Next Monday I’m planting 30 blueberry bushes.
I’ve got deer and rabbits on my property. I’m concerned that they will destroy my garden in one night. Any suggestions on how to keep them away would be appreciated.
Tomorrow morning I resume running or bike riding.

Ron,
I heard that human hair clippings are good to keep deer and other rodants out of the garden. Maybe Barbra can hook you up with some to toss around the perimeter of your garden. Also heard that moth balls around the outside perimeter of the garden works too.
You will enjoy the Nikon 5100. Lorraine and I enjoy ours. Takes really great pictures.
